A large flatbed truck driven by a Palestinian terrorist slammed into a group of soldiers in the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood of Yerushalayim this afternoon, killing four – three women and one man in their 20s – and injuring 15.

Police Chief Roni Alsheich called it a terror attack. He identified the attacker, who accelerated as he rammed into the soldiers, as Fadi al-Qanbar, a resident of the Jabel Mukaber neighborhood of east Jerusalem, explaining how the perpetrator had an Israeli driver’s license and was driving a car with an Israeli license plate. A photo of the terrorist can be seen below, at the very end of the photos.

Hamas praised the murderous attack, with its terror spokesman, Hazaem Qassam, stating, “These operations show that all tries to get around the resistance or to stop it will fail every time.”

The soldiers were visiting Yerushalayim as part of the IDF’s “Culture Sundays,” in which soldiers are taken to historical and national sites. They were getting off a bus when the truck rammed into them.

MDA treated those who were wounded – five in serious condition, one in moderate-to-serious condition and 9 in light condition – and evacuated them to Shaare Tzedek Medical Center, Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem Medical Center and Hadassah Medical Center on Mt. Scopus.

According to those at the scene, after the terrorists slammed into the soldiers with the truck, he put the truck in reverse and then drove over them a second time. It is not clear if the soldiers were killed from the initial ramming or the subsequent one.

The terrorist was shot by soldiers in the group and died of his wounds. The soldier’s guide, Eitan Rod, told Channel 10 that it seemed like the soldiers hesitated before shooting the terrorist. Perhaps they were unsure at the time if it was an accident or a deliberate attack.

  1. From CNN: “Terrorist rams truck into soldiers” I can’t remember a previous time when CNN had the honesty to call a terrorist attack against Jews by its correct name; usually it’s a euphemism such as “Gunman”, “Militant” or even “Activist”.

  2. I hope the brave Yid that killed the terrorist has a good lawyer. After the recent guilty verdict of a soldier by the corrupt injustice system in Israel, this hero unfortunately, has what to worry about. Maybe he should of shot the tires first? Maybe he should of jumped on the moving truck and put the terrorist in a headlock? Vichidome. This is the sick way of thinking the leftists in Israel have placed upon their vulnerable citizens.

  3. To anonymous. CNN has just corrected its politically ‘incorrect’ statement and has switched to “OFFICIAL SAYS it was a terrorist…” The gantzeh tochacha should fall on their heads…

  4. The terrorists’ bank accounts, vehicles, houses, businesses are all directly used for conspiring, planning and preparing of the terrorist acts. Hence, all of the terrorists’ and their families’ possessions should be confiscated, including any real estate properties, which would become an Israeli government property, which would then populate the terrorists’ former houses with any ideological Zionists who wish to reside in a fortified compound in a middle of an Arab village. The islamonazis would think twice before committing terror, if the consequence will be a bunch of Kahane followers taking over their houses.

  5. HaShem has made the world deaf dumb and blind. how is it that they do not see what is happening? Is there one picture of israelis doing chas v’shalom such a horrendous thing? and how can we praise zaka for the chessed they do? today is a taanis , fasting because of the attack on yerushalayim. oy v’oyvei lonu

  6. Kol HaKavod to the brave soldiers that neutralized the terrorist….Good job to the ones who took cover and assumed positions ready to fire if need be…Shame on the ones who ran away

  7. Fadi al-Qanbar, Yimach Shemo V’Zichro!!!!!!!!!!
