Five Israeli soldiers taken captive by Hamas and brought to Gaza were reportedly confined in the residence of a high-ranking member of the terror group’s military division, who allegedly used them as human shields, according to various Hebrew news reports.
The recently released soldiers — Liri Albag, Daniela Gilboa, Karina Ariev, Naama Levy, and Agam Berger — were held in an apartment during their captivity. They recounted that a senior Hamas operative in the apartment appeared to be in charge, frequently giving instructions to others present. He provided them with food and access to showers while “manipulating their feelings” in an attempt to extract information about what the Israeli military knew prior to the October 7, 2023, attack.
According to the soldiers’ accounts, other Hamas guards subjected them to harsher treatment compared to civilian hostages. However, the high-ranking official took on a “good cop” persona, aiming to gain their trust in order to learn about IDF operations near the border before the large-scale assault.
The freed soldiers are expected to be discharged from the hospital and enter rehabilitation tomorrow, with the exception of Berger, who was released later than the others and will require a few more days of medical care.

That’s precisely why they want all hostages out even if it means releasing terrorists. President Trump wants to clean Gaza out from all Arabs.
Appreciate your point, especially if all the terrorists were being released to Gaza. But some are being released to Yehudah, Shomron, and East Jerusalem, where it’s very easy for them to carry out terror attacks.
Why would Israel allow them entry to Yehuda & Shomron and East Jerusalem?
