The Vizhnitzer Rebbe of Monsey will be presiding over a special Shabbos for chassidim who have pledged to donate $50,000 or more for Vizhnitzer institutions.
The weekend will not be held at a luxury hotel or setting, but at Yeshiva Ohr SOmayach in Monsey, following the directive of the Rebbe to minimize expenses.
The Shabbos, to be held this week, Parshas Behar, 10 Iyar, will mark 70 years since the Rebbe was saved seventy years ago following the war.
As part of the Shabbos, a special booklet with details of the Rebbe’s rescue, as told by the Rebbe himself, will be given to all participants.
