Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas was re-elected overnight Thursday as chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), reported Reuters.
Abbas’s expected reappointment came at the end of a four-day meeting by the Palestinian National Council (PNC) in Ramallah. With the re-election, Abbas will remain the role he has held since 2005.
