ABC’s Nightline Blasted ‘Controversial’ Nominee Before He’s Even Announced

The new Supreme Court pick was very “controversial,” whoever he or she turned out to be. That was the consensus of ABC’s Nightline. About 90 minutes before Donald Trump announced the name of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, Nightline’s Twitter page blasted:

Tonight on Nightline, @TerryMoran reports on the controversial Supreme Court Justice pick and the possible implications for the country.

Again, they didn’t have a name (or any news outlet for that matter), but this mysterious person was “controversial.” Later in the evening, the Nightline account weeted out a “correction” to explain what the network journalists meant to say:

  1. evertyone under the sun is controversial…if i like a black dress and you like a pink dress so im controversial (or why not’ your controversial’ because you like pink or maybe we’re both controversial).
    so this is part of fake news, throw in some irrelevant negetive remark and the MASSES read it and it sticks in the masses minds that this prferctly good normal cadidate is contorvrsial

  2. The Democrats were planning a million people protest to prevent President Trump’s SCOTUS nominee. Only 300 people showed up. We can easily assume that this is about the amount of people who’ll vote for Hillary or any other Democrat in 2020, especially after droves joined the #WalkAway movement.
