Acting attorney general Matthew Whitaker said Monday that special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe is “close to being completed.”

President Trump and Republican allies for months have called for a conclusion to the investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 election; the president has repeatedly attacked the effort as a “witch hunt.”

Mueller has indicted several Trump campaign officials in the course of his probe since he was appointed in May 2017, including former Trump campaign head Paul Manafort and former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Whitaker told reporters that he “hope(s) that (he) can get the report from Director Mueller as soon as possible.”

  1. Mueller’s job is done. President Trump did not collude. Period. That’s the most important. All Trump’s people who were arrested by Mueller and imprisoned will receive the President’s pardon. Now, Trump can drain the swamp PUBLICLY and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.

  2. This whole debacle and millions of dollars in taxpayer’s money could of been avoided if the little pipsqueak rino, Jeff Sessions, wouldn’t of been so beholden to the minority Democrat party and been so corrupt. Floppy ears will go down in history as the worst AG and biggest loser our Country has ever seen.

    • Actually Mueller did a super-duper fantastic job. Can’t wait for President Trump to declare ChessMate (even though it’s not Nitel).
