Sheldon Adelson is supporting a trip to Israel by Donald Trump this summer before the Republican National Convention in July, according to three sources close to the Las Vegas casino billionaire, Newsmax reports.
Morton Klein, president of the Zionist Organization of America in New York and another Adelson confidant, told the Guardian that Trump’s contact for Israel, Jason Greenblatt, said several weeks ago that the presumptive presidential nominee was “going to go there before the convention,” which begins on July 18.
Nothing yet is final, however, the sources told the Guardian.
Adelson, head of the Las Vegas Sands casino empire, is head of the pro-Israel Republican Jewish Coalition. He endorsed Trump last week, later saying that he was prepared to donate as much as $100 million to the developer’s campaign. Read more at Newsmax.
