The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has released recommendations and tips “to assist young people in processing their feeling and understanding what happened in the wake of the presidential election,” according to a statement.
“Election 2016 was a long, emotional and difficult time for our country,” said Jonathan Greenblatt, the ADL’s CEO, in a statement that comes on the heels of Donald Trump’s election victory.
“Parents and educators are now looking for ways to help our kids express their sentiments and guide them in internalizing what took place…It’s imperative that we help our kids navigate their feelings, understand what happened and work through their fears,” said Greenblatt.
The ADL offers the following guidance: “Allow young people to express their feelings; answer questions; Be honest about your personal thoughts and feelings; remain positive and explain that there are a variety of ways to be an activist including countering bias, bullying and stereotyping; tell them you will protect and fight for them, and discuss and monitor what young people come across on social media and encourage connecting with others.”
Jinnie Spiegler, the ADL’s director of curriculum, said, “We need to be sensitive to young people’s needs at a time when they have many questions and concerns about the future of our country and what that means to them.”
Morton Klein, national president of the Zionist Organization of America, called the ADL’s materials “anti-Trump” that “betray the cause of combating anti-Semitism.” He said it’s wrong for the ADL to persist in “divisive fear-mongering and encouraging fighting against and activism including demonstrations against the President-elect while ignoring the fact that President-elect Trump has proclaimed he will be a president for all Americans.”
“The Trump/Pence administration may well become the most pro-Israel administration in history,” Klein added. “[They have] pledged to take strong legislative and diplomatic actions to combat the anti-Semitic BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) campaign; pledged to have the Justice Department investigate the coordinated intimidation of Jewish students on college campuses, and to pressure the Palestinian Authority to stop promoting hatred and violence against Jews in their schools, media and speeches. It is painfully wrong for the ADL to undermine the Trump/Pence administration even before they’ve taken office.” JNS.ORG

The ADL is begin run by a former Obama aide, and its agenda has “expanded” to include such lovely movements as Black Lives Matters, SSM, and other Progressive movements. It has little to do with Judaism anymore. Unless you define Judaism as “tikkun olam”.
And of course, their “tikkun olam” is “herres olam”.
Who is this paper organization ADL. A bunch of mechael shabbosniks. Who are they to speak or represent Judaism. They are haters if Torah and Judaism.
The ADL has been irrelevant – in fact, counter – to Jewish interests since its founding.

They should know how important it is to fight racism, and to be careful how liberally the term is misapplied.
