At a confirmation hearing for U.S. Attorney General, nominee Loretta Lynch defended President Obama’s decision to shelter millions of undocumented immigrants, but said they have no right to citizenship under the law.

She told the hearing that under the administration’s policy, the Department of Homeland Security focuses on deporting “the most dangerous of the undocumented immigrants among us.” This, she said, “seems to be a reasonable way to marshal limited resources to deal with the problem.”

Lynch also said the NSA’s surveillance programs are “constitutional and effective,” while waterboarding is torture “and thus illegal.” Read more.

  1. I don’t believe her comments, she is Obama’s friend and tell any lie to get in then change your opinion and do what the administration says you have to do, like the leaving Holder Obama’s body guard. Hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil as long as it is part of the administration.

  2. i wonder why anyone bothers to apply for US citizenship today. with obama at the helm, the only thing he doesnt get is the right to vote, which right doesnt seem to matter anymore anyway. obama has ignored the results of our last election
