It’s no secret that the New York Times has been leading a smear campaign against the frum community and yeshivos over the last few months.
In just the last three months, they have published 13 articles attacking the Chassidish and Orthodox Jewish communities with a front page article published just this past week, attacking Jewish children with special needs and their families. (See the Agudah’s statement on the release of the article.)
They’ve made it clear – time and again – that they are committed to spreading misinformation and demonizing Orthodox and Chassidish Jews.
The impact is devastating. Anti-Semitic attacks against Orthodox and Chassidishe Jews have risen exponentially.
In November, there were more hate crimes against Orthodox Jews than against every other vulnerable group, combined.
To combat these attacks, Agudas Yisroel has launched a new initiative KnowUs.Org with a mission of setting the record straight on yeshivos and the Chassidish and Orthodox Jewish community.
On Erev Shabbos, the billboard below went up in New York City – right outside the Lincoln Tunnel, and it’s the first of more to come.
Visit KnowUs.Org, which counters the misinformation being spread and gives a glimpse into the amazing and beautiful frum community.

Is it safe to assume that the Moetzes Gedolei Torah approved this approach?
The only way this is effective is if we take small billboards and smash them over the heads of those who start up.
