In a surprise move, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee chided the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for barring two pro BDS Democratic congresswomen from entering the country ahead of a planned visit.

In a tweet, AIPAC stated that while the organization does not agree with the support Reps. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Ilhan Omar of Minnesota have voiced for a Palestinian-led boycott movement – or for Tlaib’s calls for a “one-state solution” to the decades-long conflict between the Israelis and Palestinians – it believes the two lawmakers should be permitted to enter Israel.

“We disagree with Reps. Omar and Tlaib’s support for the anti-Israel and anti-peace BDS movement, along with Rep. Tlaib’s calls for a one-state solution,” AIPAC tweeted on Thursday. “We also believe every member of Congress should be able to visit and experience our democratic ally Israel firsthand.”

  1. As usual, liberal Jews have the biggest chutzpah. Don’t they realize that this wasn’t Netanyahu’s decision but TRUMP!

  2. I think that this is a case of darned if you do, darned if you don’t. Let ’em in? Watch them lie about the awful Israelis. Keep ’em out? Watch them complain about disrespecting a U.S. Representative.
I think that Prime Minister Netanyahu would’ve allowed them in as the lesser of the two evils, but once President Trump openly pushed for them to be barred, Netanyahu flipped and went the other way. (Just my thoughts, based on how this whole thing played out.)
