Al Gore Compares Climate Change Skeptics to Anti-Abolitionists, Racists And Alcoholic Families

goreIs it reasonable to compare those who don’t think that there is significant man-made global warming to those who support apartheid?  How about to an abusive alcoholic father?  If the reverse was true, would people object?  From the Washington Post:

The conversation on global warming has been stalled because a shrinking group of denialists fly into a rage when it’s mentioned. It’s like a family with an alcoholic father who flies into a rage every time a subject is mentioned and so everybody avoids the elephant in the room to keep the peace. But the political climate is changing. . . .
