Add noisemaker Rev. Al Sharpton to the list of liberals who are questioning the legitimacy of President-elect Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton. Fox News reports that on MSNBC, Sharpton said there is enough evidence to raise serious questions about the election process.

“There’s no question that the process that elected him was not legitimate,” Sharpton said, citing reports from the intelligence community about Russia’s alleged interference. Clearly the process has serious questions about it.”

Sharpton added that the American people should not take this lightly, particularly since Rep. John Lewis (D-GA), a civil rights icon, is among those openly questioning Trump’s legitimacy.

  1. Legal and legitimate are not the same. Trump is the legal President because he won the elections according to the law of the land, but he is not the legitimate President because a clear majority of the voters voted for Clinton.

BTW a couple of weeks ago we read in the weekly parsha that Jacov Avinu refused when his brother Esav suggested that they should go home together. He didn´t want to walk with Esav. He didn´t want to go the way of the sinner Esav. We should have that in mind when we now have a president who is behaving in ways that are completely untoradic.
