[Photos below.] An American bochur set to begin learning at a yeshiva in Yerushalayim was injured today after he was hit by an Egged bus. He was taken to Ein Kerem Medical Center in serious condition.
The accident took place on Rechov Ha’Admur M’Lubavitch in the Ramat Shlomo section of Yerushalayim.
The bochur was crossing the street at the time of the incident. Ichud Hatzolah and Magen Dovid Adom both responded and transported the bochur to the hospital.
We are told that the bochur arrived this past Thursday from the United States to begin learning in a Yerushalayim yeshiva later this week with the start of the Elul zeman. His parents received the news tonight and are reportedly on their way to Eretz Yisroel to be at his side.
The bochur remains in critical condition.

Reply to #5: Lately on sites I see people posting negatively, judging unfavorabley while admitting they do not know the details. I am glad to see that onlly 8 people above reacted with concern wanting to daven.
#5 your right
Bochurim should watch what their doing
look both ways before you cross the street
that means up and down
very smart
Any name ? Update?
Although pedestrians always have the right-of-way, in any vehicle vs pedestrian confrontation the pedestrian usually comes out on the losing end so it is wise to be careful where and when you walk. Remember the jingle:
” He was dead, dead right as he went along,
But he’s just as dead as if he’d been wrong.”
I think girls should also look both ways before crossing. Not just bachurim
I don’t understand the judging comments. From the body of the article we have no idea who, if anyone, was at fault. Maybe the commentors have outside info, but if Matzav didn’t have it, or chose not to print it, it’s not relevant.
Refuah shleima!
