Americans are planning to wager $6 billion collectively on the Super Bowl on Sunday, the American Gaming Association (AGA) announced.
The AGA released a new survey about betting ahead of Super Bowl LIII, when the New England Patriots will play the Los Angeles Rams in Atlanta.
One in 10 Americans plan to bet on the Super Bowl, which comes down to 22.7 million American adults. 52 percent of those bets will be on the Rams and 48 percent on the Patriots.
On Sunday, 1.8 million Americans plan to bet on the game illegally, through a bookie, and the association said millions more are likely to bet illegally through offshore online books.
