amtrakAmtrak will install video surveillance cameras in its locomotive cabs to keep a better eye on engineers. Amtrak CEO Joseph Boardman announced Tuesday that the cameras will be installed on 70 new locomotives, first on the Northeast Corridor and the Keystone Corridor between Harrisburg, Philadelphia, and New York. Those locomotives are all expected to be in service by the end of 2015.

Eventually, all 300 of Amtrak’s locomotives will have the cameras.

The announcement comes as investigators determine the cause of the deadly Amtrak crash in Philadelphia. Read more at Philly.com.
