duvi-honigDear Klal Yisroel,

I am still struggling to gather my thoughts after the unbelievable kiddush Hashem that I, along with thousands upon thousands of our brethren from across North America, witnessed at the Meadowlands Exposition Center yesterday. A distinct sense of achdus, determination and optimism permeated every one of the 61,000 square feet in the Center. Yidden of all ages, backgrounds and income level gave of their time, knowledge and resources to help others succeed, all the while helping themselves as well.

At this time, I must acknowledge Rabbi and Mrs. Nosson and Devorah Wahl, who worked around the clock over the past few months to make sure that every detail works out in the best possible manner. As I look back, I am amazed at how we managed to organize an event of this magnitude with such limited resources. It is no doubt a testimony to the Wahls’ talent and unwavering dedication. Mrs. Wahl made this her personal project and invested her heart and soul into it, and it could not have happened without her.

It has been a long road until here, with months – actually years – of seemingly endless toil and uphill logistical struggles. Seeing all the happy faces at the Expo and hearing the countless individual success stories from both vendors and attendees in the days since has made it all worthwhile.

It is an honor for me to have had a role in such a great event, but I view every attendee, vendor, volunteer, staff member and supporter as a major partner in its success, nd for that I am highly appreciative.

I’d like to thank my wife and children for standing at my side and tolerating my preoccupation with this project over the past months.

Most of all, I’d like to offer a shevach v’hodaah to Hakadosh Boruch Hu for the clear siyata diShmaya that we saw every step of the way.

Sincerely,

Duvi Honig

  1. I was an exhibitor at the show and would sign up today for next years show. To be part of such a Kiddush Shem Shomayim, to be surrounded by so many yidden trying to help each other AND the fact that I already made a major sale through this showed me Siyata Dishmayo. Klal Yisroel owes a huge debt of gratitude to Reb Duvi.

  2. Thanks bbut no thanks. Where is the apology to all those who were fooled and misled by coming to the JOB FAIR. this was a B2B expo.was not right to have people shlep down pay $25 and no job fair.

  3. where was the kiddush HaShem? It was an event. people paid money and they came.

claiming that it was well organized is not inline with what actually occurred. Badges weren’t ready. booths and tables weren’t ready. I heard that one sponsor of a pavilion had his booth scheduled to be outside that area until he fought to get 1) it back in and 2) the full size that he paid for (I was at the registration desk when this discussion took place.

There is potential that an event like this can work. was it a good start… maybe. was it an overwhelming success… I don’t think so.
