Andrew Yang, who ended his long-shot Democratic presidential bid last week, has joined CNN as a political commentator, the network announced Wednesday.
Yang, whose quixotic presidential campaign was characterized by catchy slogans such as “Make America Think Harder (MATH),” had pledged a universal basic income, which would give every US citizen $1,000 a month.
Yang, who cultivated an army of devoted followers dubbed the “Yang Gang,” dropped out of the race a week after finishing in sixth place in the Iowa caucus, with less than 1 percent of the delegates.
