ANOTHER BLOW: Bochur Killed, Six Injured, In Car Crash In Israel


Another terrible tragedy struck Klal Yisroel today in the form of a fatal car crash in Eretz Yisroel that took the life of one bochur r”l and injured six others.

The group of bochurim, all talmidim of the Gerrer Yeshiva, rented a van last night to daven in Miron. On the way back, just before the entrance to Bnei Brak, at the junction of Kvish 4 and 5, the car was overturned.

One of the Bochurim, 20 year old Chaim Alter z”l, was found thrown from the vehicle, and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics and first responders.

Another six were injured, one seriously, two moderately and three lightly. The seriously injured Bochur, a 25-year-old, was taken with head injuries to Tel Hashomer hospital; the two moderately injured were taken with head and back injuries to the same hospital while the lightly injured Bochurim, including a 14-year-old, were taken to Beilinson and Schneider hospitals.

The levaya for Chaim Alter z”l took place today in Bnei Brak with thousands, including the Gerrer Rebbe, in attendance.
