A union leader recently shared an incident where Vice President Kamala Harris walked out of a meeting on the campaign trail, dismissively telling him she didn’t require his support because she would “win with you or without you,” just prior to her significant defeat by Donald Trump.
Teamsters President Sean O’Brien recounted this encounter on “The Tucker Carlson Show” on Monday, discussing his union’s unprecedented decision to withhold an endorsement for the presidential race for the first time in almost three decades.
O’Brien explained that Harris had finally agreed to meet with the Teamsters for a roundtable discussion after President Biden withdrew from the race, but she only responded to a small portion of their 16 questions. Other candidates, including Trump, provided answers to all of them.
“On the fourth question, one of her operatives or one of her staff slips a note in front of me — ‘This will be the last question.’ And it was 20 minutes earlier than the time it was going to end,” O’Brien told Carlson.
“And her declaration of the way out was, ‘I’m going to win with you or without you,’” he recalled.
Carlson responded, “Damn. I thought I was arrogant. That’s really arrogant.”
O’Brien mentioned that he reached out to Biden’s former Secretary of Labor, Marty Walsh, to discuss Harris.
“Let me ask you a question, Marty. Excuse my French. Who does this … lady think she is?” he remembered asking Walsh, who now heads the NHL Players’ Association.
The union leader also noted his concerns about Biden’s decline before the latter ended his reelection campaign, describing it as “kinda looked like elderly abuse” given the state of Biden’s health and energy.
“We had Biden in there and you could just clearly tell he was not the man he was. It was kinda sad,” O’Brien said, adding that Biden had been a strong president for workers.
Weeks before the election, O’Brien announced that the Teamsters would break from tradition and not endorse a candidate for the first time since 1996, despite a long history of support for Democratic candidates.
In fact, the union’s 1.3 million members overwhelmingly backed Trump over Harris, with 59.6% supporting the former president compared to 34% for Harris.
Before Biden dropped out, he had held a steady lead of 44.3% to Trump’s 36.3%.
The Teamsters had supported the Biden-Harris ticket in 2020 and had endorsed Hillary Clinton over Trump in 2016.

Friends:
We’re all looking for some logic to explain the mission of the Harris campaign that ended up disgracefully trounced by Trump. Look no longer. Kamala had zero understanding of what it means to be president. She tried a campaign herself, and was woefully shamed by the results. For reasons we can know but not say, Biden chose her for a running mate. So she took a crack at vice president. Her failure in that role was legendary. It is still a huge undertaking and completely futile to find anything that she can call an accomplishment as VP. Her idea of seeking the presidency was not driven by anything consiistent with logic. She had no track record to cite. Quite to the contrary, she had amassed a significant pile of failures. Her avoidance of media and interviews was legendary. Her inability to utter anything comprehensible speaks much about her intellect. She is being driven by emotion, and that is frankly irrational. That’s why she can’t even shut up after the huge loss in the election. Her lack of rational thinking precludes her ability to accomplish anything for real.
“We’re all looking for some logic..” Count us out please because most of us are aware that Harris is an actor and playing her role. Your post is full of woke theory.
Baruch HaShem she lost:)
No actors will “win” anymore.
The movie is almost over;
I don’t get your point. Trump was an actor before getting into politics, Reagan who most conservatives adore was a career actor too.
I hate to break it to you, someone had to.
