We have to do our part and not rely on miracles. You can’t win the lottery without buying a ticket, but buying more than one is overdoing it. If G-d wants you to win you’ll win with one.

Years ago I used to but one lottery ticket a year in case I had the mazal to win. After a few years I stopped because the chances of winning are so small that if I really have the mazal to win someone will buy me a ticket as a present. The chance of either of them happening are so one in the many millions that actually buying the ticket doesn’t change much
