Wikileaks founder Julian Assange on Monday echoed Donald Trump in commenting on allegations that Russia interfered in the presidential election. In an interview with Sean Hannity set to be aired on Tuesday, Assange said the Obama administration is “trying to delegitimize the Trump administration as it goes into the White House.”

“They are trying to say that President-elect Trump is not a legitimate President,” he said in excerpts of the interview released Monday night. He went on to lament that the Obama administration was focusing on Russia rather than the revelations in Wikileaks publications. “Our publications had wide uptake by the American people, they’re all true. … But that’s not the allegation that’s being presented by the Obama White House,” he said.

While WikiLeaks has been accused of being a front for Russian intelligence, Assange denied claims that Moscow was the source of WikiLeaks documents from the Democratic National Committee, saying the source of the leaks was “not a state party.” Read more at THE HILL.
