Astronauts Launch 1-Year Space Mission

astronaut-nasa A Russian and German astronaut, Scott Kelly and Mikhail Kornienko, respectively, began the first of 342 days aboard the International Space Station on Saturday, a mission about twice as long as usual. Kornienko and Kelly are accompanied by another Russian astronaut, Gennady Padalka, who will stay for six months.

The mission marks NASA’s first attempt at a one-year- spaceflight; its goal is to study the effects of prolonged weightlessness on the human body, a potential step to a mission to Mars. Read more at Yahoo News.

    almost all trips that blew up in space had jews on it. Hashem put us here on earth, to do our jobs. When yidden try to go to other planets to run the world & see behind what Hashem allows us to then they are removed from the world R”L

    Scott Kelly is hardly a Russian. He and his twin brother Mark – who is also an astronaut, but staying earthbound as part of a unique biophysical experiment – are patriotic US citizens. Scott served in the US Navy, attaining the rank of Captain, before retiring to join NASA.
