At Least 20 Tornadoes Hit Central U.S.


tornadoAt least 20 tornadoes have been reported across Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma on Wednesday, leaving 12 injured at a trailer park in Oklahoma City, a spokeswoman for Emergency Medical Services Authority said.

Meanwhile, tigers and other wild animals at a zoo about 25 miles southwest of Oklahoma City have been accounted for after they escaped during the storm.

Winds reached 60 mph with golfball-size hail in some parts. Dozens of homes have been reportedly damaged in southwest Oklahhoma.

“This is a particularly dangerous situation,” the National Weather Service announced. Read more at The Weather Channel.
