[Audio below.] New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has finally commented on the tragic murder of R’ Menachem Stark z”l of Williamsburg. The mayor’s comments were made on WMCA radio in New York, on a program hosted by Mr. Leon Goldenberg.
De Blasio called the murder “a tragedy,” adding that “we are going to get to the bottom of this” and that “we are going to find those who did this to him and who robbed children of a father and a wife of a husband.”
Commenting on the shameful coverage of the New York Post, de Blasio said that the “headline was particularly inappropriate” and “unfair. It was hurtful.”
The mayor added that “There’s really no place for that kind of thing in this city… I share [the] outrage.”
