Avigdor Lieberman was officially sworn in as Israeli Defense Minister in a Knesset ceremony this evening.
The swearing in came as part of Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu’s broadening of the coalition government.
Sofa Landver has taken up the minister of absorption portfolio.
With the new agreement between the Likud party and Lieberman’s Yisrael Beytenu party, Netanyahu leads a government that previously had a narrow 61 seat majority and now has a 66-strong majority.
