About two years after the petirah of the Sadigura Rebbe, a special letter was sent out on behalf of the Bais Din in Bnei Brak headed by Rabbi Sariel Rosenberg in which the dayanim who signed inform the public about the issuance of a temporary restraining order forbidding the sons of the previous Sadigura Rebbe, Rav Mordechai Shalom Yosef Friedman and Rav Aharon Dov Ber Friedman from using the name Sadigura.

In a letter signed by Rav Yehuda Silman, Rav Sariel Rosenberg, Rav Yaakov Farbstein, Rav Meir Heisler, and Rav Menachem Mendel Shafran, the rabbonim state that in “the [previous] rebbe’s will, in states in section 5 that he appoints his son Rav Yitzchak Yehoshua to take his place as successor as rebbe and head the Chassidim of Ruzin-Sadigura. This is in addition to [the section of the will where it is written] that he is the one who will be the head of all the institutions in every place that bears the name of Sadigura or Ruzn-Sadigura.”

“Therefore,” the dayanim said, “a temporary restraining order is hereby granted under which, except for Rav Yitzchak Yehoshua Heshel Friedman and his kehillah, any person, body, or institution is prohibited from using the name Sadigura or Ruzin Sadigura, etc. to raise funds on behalf of institutions under one of the aforementioned names, and it is also forbidden to use the symbols that were used by the institutions under the leadership of the late rebbe.”

In conclusion, the rabbonim write that “the restraining order will remain in effect until a discussion and decision in an agreed court regarding all the disputes that exist between the members of the family of the late rebbe.”
