  1. Since these measures are undoubtedly effective in stopping the virus transmission, why did we have to shut down ALL tefila betzibur to begin with?! I understand that people can make mistakes based on the information available at the moment, but without an apology to the tzibur and public acts of repentance, there is no respect to the people responsible for this debacle.

    • Because droves of our own were dying, the virus was rampant and it was the only way to deal with it at the time. The time in-between until now was used wisely by the rabbonim to devise this system.

  2. Just imagine, had they waited another hour, they would have been able to leave out half their rules based on the CDC’s newest decision of how the virus is not really transferred off of surfaces.
