Yet again, Israel has extended the ban prohibiting foreign citizens from entering the country. The ban on foreigners will now remain in place until at least January 1, 2021, reports the Chaim V’chessed organization.

Israeli passport holders, as well as toshavei keva and toshavei arai – permanent residents and temporary residents – may enter Israel unhindered, though they must keep 14 days of quarantine, unless they arrive from a Green country.

Students may receive entry permits through the institutions in which they study.

Students currently in Israel who wish to leave the country and then return must proceed with caution, as numerous students have experienced difficulties being allowed to renter Israel. It is crucial that students hold valid student visas prior to exiting Israel if they plan on returning.

There are also certain exceptional circumstances under which foreign citizens may receive entry permits to Israel.
