Itamar Ben Gvir, the Minister responsible for National Security, arrived at the site of a violent terrorist attack near Eli on Tuesday and urged for a military intervention in the region of Samaria in response to the attack.
Ben Gvir expressed concern about the ongoing incidents, including repeated shootings in Judea and Samaria, which have made the residents vulnerable targets. He called upon the Prime Minister and the Defense Minister, similar to his previous call for a military operation in Gaza, to take immediate action in Judea and Samaria. Specifically, he advocated for the resumption of targeted airstrikes, demolition of structures, establishment of roadblocks, expulsion of terrorists, and the enactment of a death penalty law for terrorists in the second and third parliamentary readings.
“The incidents here are going on and on. Another shooting and another shooting throughout Judea and Samaria. The residents have become sitting ducks,” stated Ben Gvir, according to Arutz Sheva.
“I call on the Prime Minister and on [Defense] Minister Gallant, as I said before the operation in Gaza: The time has come for a military operation in Judea and Samaria. Yes, a return to targeted eliminations from the air, take down buildings, set up roadblocks, deport terrorists and pass the death penalty law for terrorists in the second and third readings,” he continued.
“Unfortunately, the checkpoints in Judea and Samaria were removed, so as to allow a so-called fabric of life, freedom of movement. Freedom of movement is not more important than our right, the residents, to freedom of living. This is the time for a military operation in Judea and Samaria,” stated Ben Gvir.
“My condolences to the bereaved families, wishes for a full recovery to the wounded and a blessing to the citizen who shot the terrorist. I call on the residents of Judea and Samaria to take up arms. It saves lives,” concluded Ben Gvir.

Bring him strength!
Launching a military operation to take down buildings could be a deterrent if it’s done immediately within a few days. Doing so months later has no purpose and is definitely not a deterrent. Would Ben Gvir have the courage to do so?
