National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir declared on Thursday that should the Cabinet approve the hostage agreement with Hamas, both he and his party would step down from the government.

Later in the evening, Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with Religious Zionist Party leader Minister Bezalel Smotrich. The two will discuss Smotrich’s request to resume military action after the deal is finalized, as well as to overhaul the handling of the situation, including halting humanitarian aid.

Minister of Diaspora Affairs Amichai Chikli also stated on Thursday that he would resign from the government if Israel is required to pull out of the Philadelphi Corridor along the Egypt-Gaza border as part of the agreement.
