Naftali Bennett sharply criticized Shas leader Aryeh Deri over comments he made to young chareidi students last week urging them not to enlist in the IDF, accusing him of damaging the morale of Israeli soldiers.
Addressing a group of IDF reservists, Bennett said, “What did Deri say here? Don’t be tempted to lend a hand to your brothers in the Armoured Corps who are being burned, don’t be tempted to lend a hand to your brothers in Yahalom who are going into tunnels, don’t be tempted to lend a hand to bereaved families who lost their sons in this war, don’t be tempted to work to get hostages out, don’t be tempted to help your brothers.”
He went on to say, “How can this person be in the War Cabinet? How does this government dare? This abhorrent government dares to send us and give us commands. It’s like a knife in the heart to hear this.”
Bennett’s comments came after a report by journalist Ari Kalman on i24NEWS revealed Deri’s remarks to students at the Shaar HaMelech Yeshiva. “God forbid, let no one here — especially in such a time when the Jewish people are in a state of war, may God protect us — think that maybe we need to reconsider, perhaps we should do something else, perhaps we should contribute, heaven forbid,” Deri told the gathering.
Deri later clarified his position on the role of yeshiva students, stating, “It is you, the Torah learners, who bear the burden.”

And this from Bennett who is married to a non religious michallel Shabbos bifarhesya.
If he’s is married to a non religious mechallel Shabbos, he’s obviously not too religious himself. How can he keep kashrus or taharas hamishpacha in a non-religious home? Even his pepsi cola cap fell off. What exactly makes him religious? And since he’s not religious, he lost he lost his chezkas kashrus.
bennett is the epitome of the jewish am haaretz! he’s incapable of understanding the vital importance of tora study. the am haaretz hates talmidei hachomim even more than the goyim.
He’s actually much worse, because he’s a Zionist, and Zionism means the total redefinition of Jew and Judaism from Torah-based to idolatrous and godless Nationalist, even if you also do put on Tefillin.
Deri is not Lapid or Liberman. I did not hear his comments but I do think k they were totally taken out of context. Oh, by the way, this is the same Nennett who milked 10 million shekels out of the country to remodel his house because “his wife wouldn’t move into the PM’s official residence”
And so he got the government to reoutfit his personal home, and then quit.
