A highly anticipated concert in London featuring singer Bentzion Hakohein “Benny” Friedman is back on track after an unexpected setback. The concert, part of the Am Yisrael Chai Tour organized in partnership with ACM Events, was initially canceled when the original venue, the Clapham Grand, pulled out just one day after tickets went on sale.

The concert, which has been months in the making, is part of a global tour spreading a message of Jewish pride. London, a city that has long requested Benny’s performances, was slated for two shows—one on January 6 and another in Manchester on January 7. However, securing a venue proved to be a significant challenge. Several potential locations were unwilling to host a public Jewish pride concert or associate with pro-Israel sentiments, leading to delays in finalizing the venue.

Excitement built when the organizers secured the Clapham Grand, a historic Victorian music hall that had recently been refurbished. Ticket sales soared, and anticipation grew. Unfortunately, early Monday morning, the Am Yisrael Chai Tour team received the shocking news that the Clapham Grand was pulling out of the agreement, citing security concerns surrounding anti-Semitic protests. The organizers expressed their deep disappointment: “We are completely stunned by this news and disappointed that a reality like this for the Jewish people is still possible in 2024.”

In response, the team quickly began working on a solution and is thrilled to announce that they have secured a new venue, The Lighthouse Camberwell Theatre, which has generously offered its space after learning about the challenges faced by the organizers. The new venue has a 50% larger capacity, allowing for an even broader audience to enjoy the concert. Tickets are now available again at www.ACMevents.co.uk.

Benny Friedman shared his gratitude: “We are deeply thankful to The Lighthouse Camberwell Theatre for their generosity in accommodating us. Despite the challenges, we are thrilled to bring the concert to London on January 6, and we look forward to seeing the community come together in celebration.”

  1. Who will provide security for concert goers and performers? Including till they all return home safely. Also, make sure any goyim employed at the halldon’t have any nefarious motives chas v’sholom.

  2. JB Goldstein originally went into a London shop’s water closet to do business. In a blatant act of antishizemitism he was asked to leave and take his business elsewhere. He found a new watering hole at a nearby bank where he was allowed to leave his deposit.

    • they are one and the same . only a certain sect of chassidim delude themselves into thinking otherwise. The proof is in the pudding. Take a look at Neturei Karta
