The letter sent to President Barack Obama urging a more “robust” defense package for Israel is signed by 83 senators, but not Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders.
51 Republicans and 32 Democrats signed on to the document.
Bernie did not.
Ted Cruz did.
As did Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Chris Coons, D-Del., who initiated the letter.
Sanders is a Jew, though, apparently, not much of an Israel supporter.
Israel and the United States are negotiating a 10-year defense assistance package to follow the package set to expire next year that guarantees $3 billion annually.
