A recent study by a libertarian policy center found that Sen. Bernie Sanders’s “Medicare for all” plan would cost $32.6 trillion over 10 years, according to The Associated Press.

The analysis finds that Sanders’s health-care plan, which he popularized as a talking point during his 2016 presidential campaign, would result in a significant increase in government spending because more people would make use of medical care, according to the AP.

“If every major country on earth can guarantee health care to all, and achieve better health outcomes, while spending substantially less per capita than we do, it is absurd for anyone to suggest that the United States cannot do the same,” Sanders said in a statement responding to the study.

    • Just like in Canada where doctors where doctors work for the amount of money they get and that’s it. They don’t give a hoot about anyone else.

  1. Most other countries don’t have hundreds of millions of people, a majority of whom get sick because of unmindful lifestyles. And a health program running on astronomical money that doesn’t exist, that is absurd.

  2. The British NHS is losing money. Hospital administrators are being pressured by bureaucrats who are obsessed with finances. Doctors’ hands are tied and patient care is suffering. Bernie is delusional if he thinks socialized medicine is a good idea. We have access to some of the best health care in the world. Why ruin it?

  3. Jew fit for the McDonalds trash can. The forever is Bernie bullish. Push him around. He can not spell Kosher.

Popular guy. Jew with no order. Bibles pay to read. You know what you are doing.

Total bicker. Give him credit mention. He is fickle. Young at blood angry at heart.

Henchman to the wrong candles. Gold says no sabbath enters his confusion.

He bets my new adage. What do you call a democrat with a bible? Next years republican.

    New me. Thanks.

  4. “If every major country on earth can guarantee health care to all, and achieve better health outcomes, while spending substantially less per capita than we do, …”

    They can’t and they don’t.

  5. Why doesn’t Bernie have any blacks on his staff? Why aren’t there any blacks living in Vermont? I’ve been there many times (going there next week) and have yet to see an African American there.

  6. We have access to some of the best health care in the world.

I’m no fan of Bernie and I know that medical care will suffer terribly with socialized medicine but when you say that “We” have access to some of the best health care in the world, you aren’t speaking for everyone.

Bottom line is that health insurance is unaffordable. It amazes me when I hear people who either they or their children are currently on government funded insurance (not saying you are one of them) talk against socialized medicine.

  7. He’s so nice, uncle bernie. He wants to give everyone health insurance and a car. Not a fancy car, but a decent one. And a house. Uncle bernie wants everyone to have a nice house. And there’s no reason the gov’t shouldn’t pay for it. The government has a lot of money. And we should be nice to the immigrants because they don’t have and the gov’t does have. So we should be nice and not just think of ourselves.
He’s so nice uncle bernie. He wants to give away so much stuff to everyone – for free! he’s so generous.

It’s amazing that such a total lunatic can actually be considered part of mainstream democrat party. He’s not a commie; he’s a whacko. Marx, trotsky and kruschev are left in the dust by this crackpots religious belief in communism. Absolute and total nutjob.
