According to Channel 12 News, US President Joe Biden has extended an invitation to Israeli President Herzog for a meeting at the White House in late July, while Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu still awaits a similar invitation. American officials have indicated that the formal invitation for Herzog will be sent out in the upcoming days.

President Herzog is scheduled to visit Washington in approximately a month and deliver a speech in the House of Representatives. As discussions about the meeting between Herzog and President Biden have taken place in recent days, it is anticipated that Herzog will respond positively to the invitation and coordinate with Prime Minister Netanyahu’s office.

This forthcoming meeting will mark the second encounter between Presidents Herzog and Biden this year. Notably, Netanyahu has not had a meeting with Biden since the formation of the current Israeli government. American sources have indicated that both Netanyahu and Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer were notified about the anticipated meeting.

During a recent interview with Sky News, Netanyahu was asked about the six-month wait for an invitation to the White House, to which he responded by affirming that “Joe Biden is a great friend of Israel” and expressing his belief that an invitation “will come.”

  1. Obama will never get over the fact that Netanyahu spoke in Washington in 2015 to oppose the disastrous Iran deal. Who do you think Biden is a puppet for? You got it. that’s why Netanyahu is not getting no invitation.

  2. Who needs an invitation from one of the stupidest people to hold that office. Remember, Joseph Robinette was the veep for the arch enemy of Israel: the man who made Netanyahu wait while he went up to have dinner. Who needs their invitations?

  3. It’s outrageous and insulting to Israel and Bibi. Whatever you think of him he is the executive leader of the country. Herzog, isn’t, and should not go. He shouldn’t want to and shouldn’t be allowed to. Ironically it indicates possibly that Biden sees, perhaps correctly, that he is not the executive leader of his country!

  4. Bibi is not banned. He’s busy. Herzog has nothing better to do than travel around the world on taxpayer’s expense.
