Just days after Bibi Netanyahu dismissed the possibility of Palestinian statehood in a last-minute effort to rally the right wing vote ahead of the Israeli election, the prime minister said he didn’t really mean that.

Reaffirming his commitment to “a sustainable, peaceful two-state solution,” Netanyahu on Thursday blamed the failure of peace talks on a joint Palestinian government with Hamas, and on the Palestinian government’s refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state. Read more at the New York Times.

  1. Sorry mr Netanyahu, your credibility when you backtrack is not zero, its far below zero. If you all of a sudden mean what you say you have to prove it with action. Your words are no more belived!

  2. He even told Obama that when you handel in a Persian market you have to learn how to walk away: and this YULD Obama doesnt know or want to know.

  3. The Palestinian are not ready for a State. They have a queasy State :Gaza ,did we see any beginnings of an economic basis, education, banking, municipal infrastructure ? Nothing,
what they want is for the world to send money,
the leaders will have bank accounts in Switzerland and the masses nothing.
Who do you want to give a State to ?//

  4. Bibi Netanyahu dismissed the possibility of Palestinian statehood
    HE DID NOT SAY THAT!!
that is totally out of context!!
check out what really said elsewhere

  5. At the end of the day if there would be a genuine acceptance of Israel’s right to exist, the PA breaking with Hamas and Hezbullah etc and renunciation of violence, even Bibi could agree to a PA state. What he is or should be saying is that there should be no more unilateral concessions like Gaza in 2005 etc. it only makes them want more and more, lets see some concessions from the other side.

  6. I fully expected him to do this, as he has given up land in the past and made his own Land for Peace offer 2 years go. I do admit that I didn’t expect him to do this only two days after the election.
