On his last full day in office, President Joe Biden addressed the nation to speak about the release of the first Israeli hostages as part of a hostage exchange and ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
Biden highlighted the significant progress made, stating, “Three Israeli women have been released after more than 470 days. This is a long process. Hundreds of trucks are currently entering Gaza to provide relief to Gazans who have suffered so much pain and suffering. Now the guns have gone silent.”
Reflecting on the complexity of the negotiations, Biden remarked, “This is one of the toughest negotiations I have been part of. We have reached this point today thanks to the US. I listened to all voices, but realized that the course we were on would not have led to the wanted outcome.”
Biden emphasized the strategic damage inflicted on Hamas, saying, “Hamas has been badly weakened by Israel. We provided ongoing support to Israel against Hamas.” He also commented on broader regional dynamics: “Iran is in its weakest position in decades. In Lebanon, there is an opportunity for a free population, also in Saudi Arabia.”
He expressed gratitude for the collective efforts of his administration, noting, “A special thanks to my team, who spoke as one voice in the final days.”
Biden concluded his remarks by acknowledging the importance of remembering those who suffered, stating, “As we reflect on the success today, we must always remember the victims.”

They have suffered so much pain and suffering due to the people they voted into power and whom they fully support, and will vote for again if they are on the ballot
Shame on you Biden you have no shame
Don’t worry, we will soon be UnBidened by what has been….
This was not Biden. It was Trump who threw Israel under the bus and forced Netanyahu to agree to this deal.
Time for everyone to wake. We cannot rely on anyone
Poor old sleepy Joe… on his last full day in office he’s desperately looking for a little relevance so people will somehow remember him as the hard working president that worked so very hard right up till the last minute and somehow we’ll all forget that did absolutely nothing the last 4 years.. well, to be clear not that he did nothing at all but he did nothing positive for this country in the last 4 years. Absolutely nothing! The worse president and the most corrupt president in history, hands down!
Joe is a stoic fearless leader. His legacy is going to be unbelievable. He is clearly thee best President in our nation’s history.
