The Biden administration plans to invoke the Department of Education’s civil rights enforcement arm to require the use of masks in schools, The New York Times reports.
Elected officials in several states have opted to make mask mandates illegal, saying the decision should be left to parents despite guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommending a return to universal masking in schools as the delta variant and vaccine hesitancy fueled a summer coronavirus spike.
In Florida, school administrators risk losing state funding if they violate a ban on mask mandates enacted by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis in late July. GOP Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine will not require masks in schools, and South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster (R) said recently that the state could not follow the CDC’s updated guidance because a new state law bars schools that receive funds from requiring masks.

The only reason drooling Joe is barking about masks is because he’s trying to distract the average dumb stupid American for his disastrous Afghanistan debacle. Joe is the dumbest President to ever occupy the white house. Even Gerald Ford had more brains than this old fart.
Interesting argument, to force children to wear masks because not wearing masks violates the civil rights of someone else who might be more likely to catch something. Of course, that argument was true since forever, so what were they doing (literally) during entire history before COVID-19? And even more so, as the diseases that children use to catch were much more dangerous – to children – than this COVID that has miniscule affect on children (in fact, since COVID began in the US there were almost three times as many under 18 who died from pneumonia than from COVID).
The point being ignored is that the damage done by this mask thing to child development way outways any potential gain by wearing masks.
