President-elect Joe Biden said he would ask all Americans to wear a mask to prevent the spread of the coronavirus for the first 100 days of his administration as well as issue a “standing order” requiring face coverings in federal buildings and on all interstate transportation.
Biden also told CNN in an interview on Thursday that he had spoken to Dr. Anthony Fauci and asked him to stay on as the government’s top infectious disease expert in the Biden administration.
Fauci is director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, a role he’s held since the Reagan administration. But Biden suggested that Fauci would have an outsized role in his administration, advising the president directly.
“I asked him to stay on the exact same role he’s had for the past several presidents, and I asked him to be a chief medical adviser for me as well, and be part of the Covid team,” Biden said. He noted that his chief of staff, Ron Klain, worked closely with Fauci during the Ebola crisis beginning in 2014.

A geshvoirene tipesh. What is the magic of 100 days? Or his he making things up himself while blaming others for not following science? The use of masks has many experts who question the efficacy, including quite a few that claim that masks are counterproductive. Quite many who religiously used masks contracted the virus anyway. This is the public displays typical to Dems who would rather do this than be active in solving real problems.
Can someone tell Sleepy Joe that wearing a mask does not contribute an iota to one’s intelligence?
Forget all the debate whether or not masks work, there is a vaccine that is coming in the next couple of weeks.
Once the most vulnerable people have had the opportunity to be vaccinated, the government doesn’t have any business mandating anything!
And I am someone who wears a mask everywhere because I deal with people who are high risk.
Oh wow. So simple. Who would of thought? Wear a mask, live. Don’t wear a mask, die. Amazing. I just can’t wait until Mr. Biden becomes the leader of the free world.
