In a stunning upset, Black Lives Matter activist and nurse, Cori Bush, defeated longstanding incumbent Rep. William Lacy Clay in the Missouri Democratic primary.

In the latest example of so-called progressive candidates upsetting more moderate and often several term lawmakers, it is clear that there is an internecine fight for the soul of the Democratic Party.

Bush, who first became involved in local politics in 2014 following the Ferguson riots and who ran against Clay in 2018, “raised more money in 2020 and benefited from increased credibility — and visibility — with voters who saw the electoral successes of Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Pressley,” according to CNN.

  1. Divide and conquer. The more divisiveness we will merit to see in the Democratic Party, the more we can rejoice in their self destruction.

    • Unfortunately that isn’t true.
      There isn’t divisiveness it is just a process of moving further and further left. The mainstream Democrats are following in the lead of the younger progresses, not fighting them.
      The way things are going in ten years from now a person like AOC or even Rashida Talib (with a few vague and clearly insincere apologies for past comments) will be a serious contender for president of the US

This is where war for bright property in America begins in an affulent eye and a war of the poorest wealth in the Nation. We are at war with BLM as that is just bicker laugh and milk.
