Democratic presidential hopeful Michael Bloomberg said in an interview set to air on Friday that President Trump should be impeached after originally opposing the move.

“I think it’s a very serious thing but it — and I was before opposed to it but after looking at all of the evidence, I think yes. Sad, but yes,” Bloomberg told CBS News’ Gayle King on Thursday.

Bloomberg added that he does not believe Trump fully understands what it means to be an elected official.

“He does not seem to understand that he is an elected official whose job it is to work for the public rather than for himself,” the former New York City mayor said.

  1. Of course he is going say this. How is he going to win the Democratic primary without following the party line on such a crucial issue?

The Democrats aren’t looking to win in a democratic way. The past three years have been nonstop trying to get rid of the president through impeachment and media harassment.

  2. I was aBloomberg fan and hoped he would run in order to have a pragmatic democrat run against Trump. It would have been a win/win situation. However, I now see Mike has lost his soul and is willing to sell out and pander to the “new” socialist democrats. What a shame.

  3. Hear Mikey screech,
    “Impeach, impeach!
    ‘Cause Trumps a dirty worm”
    “Rules are for thee
    But not for me
    Like serving a third term”

  4. The whole Nation has now seen that Mr. Bl$$mberg has turned into a classic political. He is walking in lockstep with the complicit media. It’s become clear that Mike has an unusual low self-esteem. The only thing going for him on the campaign trail, is that winning charming personality. He has a sense of humor like a doorknob.

  5. Coming straight from the guy whose together with his own city council had the law changed and voted himself in for 3rd term as mayor or NYC. That alone without accounting for all the other serious annoyances should give you serious pause!

  6. “He does not seem to understand that he is an elected official whose job it is to work for the public rather than for himself,” the former New York City mayor said.
Funny but that would be true about Mike Bloomberg way more than Donald Trump
