After much concerted effort by askanim, the Bnei Akiva compound in Meron has been approved by officials for the use of tishen on the eve of Lag Ba’omer.

As reported previously by Matzav.com, in accordance with the interim conclusions of the State Commission of Inquiry into the Meron disaster, a single hadlakah led by the Rebbe of Boyan will be held this year on Har Meron on Lag Ba’omer. As a result, many Chassidic courts have sought to hold tishen throughout the moshav near Har Meron, and in recent weeks, great efforts have been made to locate suitable complexes throughout Meron where rebbes and rabbonim can hold Lag Ba’omer events safely.

A number of feverish meetings have been held with the aim of locating and approving a complex that will be used by the masses.

During the past week, MK Meir Porush met with the Minister of Religious Affairs, Matan Kahana, and asked for his intervention.

After much effort, the Bnei Akiva complex located near the mountain was approved for this use.

According to the outlined agreement, a number of different events will be held at the complex at different hours, with a limited number of participants.

The Bnei Akiva complex will host events for Karlin and Zvhil, as well as the rov of Tzefas, Rav Shmuel Eliyahu, and others.

  1. It’s a shame that secular Zionist government got control over Meron with their murder of 45 kedoshim.
