The prosecution division of Tel Aviv District Police lodged an official accusation today against a Bnei Brak resident who had employed and provided accommodation to the perpetrator of the stabbing incident that occurred in Bnei Brak last week, Arutz Sheva reports.
The suspect faces charges of sheltering and employing individuals without legal residency, as well as obstructing legal proceedings. A request for his arrest until the completion of the legal proceedings has been submitted. The 68-year-old suspect was apprehended the day after the attack and underwent questioning, following which he was remanded in custody.
Thorough investigations conducted by the police unit revealed that the defendant had employed the terrorist and his brother at his business complex, specifically designated for the sorting of iron waste in Bnei Brak, for a period of three months.
During the course of their inquiries, police officers discovered that the accused had erased conversations he had held with the terrorist and his brother from his mobile phone on the day following the attack.
The stabbing incident, which took place on Monday, involved a 16-year-old Palestinian perpetrator hailing from Jenin. The assailant used a knife to attack a man in Bnei Brak, causing minor injuries. Shortly after the assault, the perpetrator’s father and brother were apprehended in the same city.
The 28-year-old victim was promptly transported to Mayanei HaYeshua Medical Center in Bnei Brak, where he received medical treatment. The injured man later recounted that he had shouted after being stabbed.
