bnei-brakThe mayor of Bnei Brak, Rabbi Yaakov Asher, is working in advance of the Yomim Noraim to maintain the unique character of the atmosphere of his city which attracts crowds from all over the country on the one hand and maintain the normal routine of life for residents and regular visitors of the city on the other. This has been the essence of meetings Mayor Asher has held with municipal managers and district police.

Special emphasis will be focused on traffic flow and preventing vehicles from blocking roads, among other things. Police officers will patrol the area’s main roads over the Yomim Tovim in two shifts, until midnight.

Also, at a recent meeting, the mayor announced that on Erev Yom Kippur, which is the busiest day of the year for mikvaos, entrance to all municipal mikvaos will be free of charge.
