Rav Baruch Dov Diskin, rosh yeshiva of Orchos Torah yeshiva in Bnei Brak, has refused to officiate at the marriage of the son of Avigdor Liberman, the head of the Yisrael Beytenu party.
Amos Liberman, whose father refuses to make a coalition with the charedi parties, is completely charedi is a close talmid of Rav Baruch Dov.
The Rosh Yeshiva explained that he did not want to appear to endorse the politician, who is staunchly anti-charedi. Instead, Rav David Grossman, who has officiated at many high-profile weddings in Israel, will be mesader.
