Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) appeared on NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday, where he expressed his pride in the growing movement aimed at preventing President Donald Trump from continuing his actions.
Booker commented, “I sit with 46 other Senate Democrats, and we are all unified in this effort, working alongside state attorneys general, governors, and the broader American public to stop Donald Trump from violating the Constitution, breaching the separation of powers, disregarding civil service laws, and engaging in numerous other illegal activities. The reason we are consistently winning in court, in front of judges appointed by both Republicans and Democrats, is because what Trump is doing is unlawful, and it must be halted. I am proud to see this movement gaining momentum to stop Trump from causing further harm to Americans.”
Kristen Welker, the host, brought up a topic concerning the upcoming potential government shutdown, asking, “We are three weeks away from a potential government shutdown. Some of your Democrats support shutting down the government to protest his policies.”
Booker responded, “They control the House, the Senate, and the White House, and it’s clear that they want to shut down the government. They’re attempting to shut down agencies like the Department of Education and USAID. They hold the power, and they won the election. It’s up to them to ensure the government keeps running.”
Welker then asked, “You won’t keep it open?”
To which Booker replied, “When the government shuts down, it’s ordinary people who suffer. I am committed to protecting and defending Americans. The way they are recklessly, and truly incompetently, running the government right now is hurting so many people. I will do everything in my power to stop them.”

The joke is on you. Shutting down USAID actually empowers the government, and follows the Constitution. You can kiss good bye to your pork. That’s your mission for following the Constitution? I thought we differed in ideas. But your positions are insane. As Senator Kennedy calls it, a special kind of stupid.
It seems like they don’t learn, they ran last election on the platform on anti-Trump and lost. They didn’t have any policy, only the opposite of whatever Trump said. now they are uniting on Anti-Trump.
Why not just say what to do instead of what not to do?

It’s so embarrassing that this guy is my Senator. He really pulled the wool over people’s eyes when he was in Newark. People thought he was going to be good, and all he is is just typical of the Democrats and people of his type. Want to know what I mean, figure it out.
I must correct you. He flashed dollar signs at the frum community, promising them handouts. They supported him. He is a hypocrite, and if you listen to him, it’s too easy to see how he is rotten to the core with values unbecoming of a human being. Can’t wait to see him forcibly retired by the voters.
Their problem is that they’re crazy. People can’t put food on the table and they’re stealing trillions of dollars from the American taxpayers to pay for crazy things in foreign countries.. The Democrats are reshaim and BH Hashem saved us from them. They don’t like us.
Now this is open and flagrant insurrection. He should be thrown in jail indefinitely. Where do these people get off trying to cause mayhem of our government because they lost an election. Since when is an audit illegal? We have the richest man in the world trying to save our country from going belly up due to our horrible debt. He’s working for free and has already found almost a trillion in waste! That my friends was in. Large part to Biden and the rest of the crooked Democrats ripping off we the tax payers. They have pulled off the biggest criminal heist in history. Booker is still out there portending to be a good guy. He’s got guts for sure, but no shame. He needs to go to jail and not pass go.
