Boro Park center has long made its name as one of the premier rehab centers in our area. In addition to the top-notch care that the center provides, the leadership and staff have also made it their goal to provide a warm environment where a patient’s emotional wellbeing is cared to with the same dedication as their physical health.

While a stay in a rehab facility would generally darken the Yom Tov of a patient, this past month of Tishrei in Boro Park center was instead graced with a time of true joy and Simchas Yom Tov. The Rav, Rabbi Aron Weissfeld Shlit”a saw to it that patients and their families can join in the spirit of Yom Tov with Seudahs, Tefilas, Hakafos and all other customs that make this month so beautiful. Those who have spent time at Boro Park Center are well familiar with Rabbi Weissmandel’s year-round devotion to assisting patients with whatever needs may arise. His cordial visits, uplifting conversations and shiurim, and all-around efforts on improving life at the Center have become renowned within the community.

Over the last few months, preparations were made to ensure that patient’s spiritual needs were met during these Yomim Tovim. The Center recruited beautiful Baalei tefilos to lead the davening, arranged for fun programming that will enhance Chol Hamoed and organized Seudahs befitting this auspicious time of the year.

On the nights of Hakafos, it was a beautiful sight to behold when patients were led around to join in the fervent dancing and partake in the Simcha of the Torah. One emotional participant commented that he “is certain that when Moshiach comes, the first stop will be at Boro Park Center.”

As the month of Tishrei comes to a close, the leadership along with Rabbi Weissfeld are already well at work planning for the long winter ahead with Chanukah parties and other special occasions.
