  1. Thank you matzav! I had written to you yesterday to do this but I didn’t know if you got the message. In any case, this is very special and awakening. I’m sure the families will appreciate it too.

    • Red the headline. “Some of the Niftarim Who Have Passed Away Over the Last Week”. it doesnt say anything about Covid-19.

  2. they should be Malitzei Yeshurim on all of Klal Yisroel.

Can you also post good news of those who recover from the virus.

    hashem Yeracheim

  3. Hashem yerachem! But there’s no reason to believe they were all niftar from pneumonia (aka coronavirus) e.g. Rav Lemberger zt”l had a heart attack and many others had other complications. May Hashem send a reufuah shelmah, a speedy recovery, to all choleh yisroel.

    • coronavirus will cause a heart attack in someone who’s heart isn’t strong enough to fight it. That’s still a coronavirus victim!

      • The symptoms for coronavirus has still not shown to be anything but the common flu and pneumonia. It’s only the panic that’s stronger.

        • It seems that you don’t understand the problem.
With the numbers of sick increasing exponentially in a week or so there won’t be enough respirators for all the sick. That’s what is happening in Italy. The doctors now decide who get the respirator. He who doesn’t just dies!
Thats what happened to the rav in England, he begged for a respirator, they didn’t have what to give him.

        • You are not panicked that all them are no longer among us to protect? Usually in history after the plagues there come the wars and of course, the mass murdering

  4. when rav pam sat shiva , rav quinn & rav wolfson came to be menachem avel , & rav pam asked them about the origin of the minhag to make a ” lechaim” in a beis avel . and one of them answered ( i dont remember which) that many times at a shiva house we talk about how he/she died – were they heavy, which doctor, driving at night.. genetics etc.. forgetting the gezeira min hashomayim … so we make the brocho ” shehakol niyeh BIDVARO” that this was from hashem .. so i was also tracking who had corona who had underlying conditions and many on this page didnt but thats missing the point read how remarkebly they lived less focus how they died

    • I heard it from Rav Pam slightly differently.

Why does the Torah repeat “[these were] the years of the life of Sarah.” Because when someone dies the family thinks “if only we would have gone to this doctor, done this treatment, not done…” The Torah is saying these are years a person to live. When there time comes it is because Hashem decided that that this is the amount of years they had

  5. Everyone, whether ch”v sick with the flu, corona, or not, should take the simple cure that the Mekubal Rav Mutzafi shlti”a suggested:
Half a teaspoon of minced cinnamon with a bit of cloves and ginger and mix well with boiling water.
After waiting 2 minutes, drink slowly.

The holy Zohar says: Saying the Ketores with kavanah 3 times a day is an amazing segulah for protection. One of the benefits of saying Ketores is that it has the power to stop a plague and be saved from contagious diseases and illnesses.

  6. It is tragic that we lost these giants.
You know that they were not all niftar from coronavirus and you posted this.
Shameless lying in this sad time

  7. There are two issues here. One many in our community only have kosher phones, don’t have internet and don’t listen to the radio. Some people are truly still clueless. Second many in our community don’t have a rov that they can turn to for guidance in a time like this. They daven in one shul shachris, a second shul mincha a third shul mariv. On Shabbos, its the local shtible for Friday night Shaboss morning maybe he’ll go to a rov or rebee. and Shabbos afternoon again it’s the local shtible. I b”h have a rov that last week found out that someone in shul tested positive he immediately shut down the shul and gave clear instruction to daven byichidus. He said not only do you have to watch yourself you also have to watch that others shouldn’t get sick because of you.

    • Even if they weren’t niftar directly, or indirectly, from COVID-19, we no longer have them to protect us, to daven for us, to guide us. Each one is great loss. Each one was decreed, as is this dreaded virus, min HaShomayim. HaShem Yiracheim aleinu v’al kol Yisroel.
