It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of the Chuster Rov of Boro Park, Rav Pinchos Dovid Horowitz zt”l. He was 77 years old.
The rebbe was a son of the Bostoner Rebbe, Rav Levi Yitzchok Horowitz zt”l, and a son-in-law of the Chuster Rov, Rav Yeshayahu Greenwald, whose position as rov Khal Yereim-Chust in Boro Park he assumed.
The rebbe is survived by his wife, Rebbetzin Sarah Horowitz.
The levayah will be held on Erev Shabbos at 10 a.m. at Khal Yereim-Chust on 53rd Street. After Shabbos, the aron will be flown to Eretz Yisroel for kevurah on Har Hazeisim in Yerushalayim.

Rav Pinchas was Chuster Rav of Boro Park. The Bostoner Rebbe of Boro Park is his cousin Rav Yonah Horowitz who is a son of the Bostoner Rebbe Rav Moshe zt’l. Rav Moshe succeeded his father as Bostoner Rebbe and established his court in Crown Heights and later in Boro Park. His brother Rav Levi Yitzchok subsequently moved back to Boston where he re-established the chasidus in the city where his father founded it.
